Snow? Tell it to come out now.

Why don't we have any snow? Probably something to do with global warming, blah, blah. I need the snow. If not for the Christmas music that's on the radio and the Christmas themed movies on tv, I'd have no idea it's only two days away from Christmas. I am really not in the mood. It doesn't help that our tree is a three foot tall fake tree that is on a table. So stupid.

Mmm, tasty. More details, go to my flickr.

Christmas Break

It's almost here. My last day of school is Wednesday. Then it will be two weeks of pure bliss. I have plenty of photos and new stuff to show you, but I've been really busy. My english class has had me reading a novel, and writing tall tales. Ugh. History, notes and a lot of essays. Pre-Calc. It's hard. I love Chemistry. So much. Hopefully, by the end of the week, I should have a proper post up.

I just found out that one of my dad's friends died in a plane crash this afternoon. I can't even imagine how his family feels. I don't expect to see his daughter, who sits next to me in math, in school tomorrow. She is such a sweet and quiet person. I saw her laughing with her friends today in the hallway. And at four o'clock, her dad is dead. Why do things like that happen to great people? Hell, why does it happen to bad people? I have no idea what I would do if anything like that happened to me. I just hope that Christine and her family will be okay.

A quicky.

I whipped this simple hat up this afternoon. Started about 4:30 and finished around 6.
Stats:

Pattern: My own. 48 stitches, bottom up, 2x2 rib for about 1 1/2 inches (the green stripe)

Yarn: Half of a ball of Katia Nepal (109 yds) 72% Acrylic (ack!)28% Wool. It's actually quite nice.

Needles: size 11 Britany Double Points

Mods: My own pattern.

I have another post ready, but I'll save it for tomorrow.
